OBM Launchpad
Let's get you set up.
Work through the tasks below in order. Each has a short video and written steps.
It takes about an hour, you don't need to do it in one go, and there's nothing you can break. Tick each task off as you go.
01
Set up your Business Profile and branded domain
Steps · Business Profile
- Click the Settings gear, bottom left of your account.
- Click Business Profile.
- Fill in your business name, contact email, phone number, physical address and website.
- Set your time zone.
- Upload your logo.
- Click Save.
Steps · Add your branded domain
- In your Business Profile, find the branded domain setting and add a subdomain, for example
links.yourdomain.com. This makes the links in your calendar invites come from your domain. - Copy the DNS record it gives you (a CNAME) and add it where your domain is managed.
- Return and verify the branded domain.
Done whenYour business details and time zone are set, and your branded domain (for example links.yourdomain.com) is verified so calendar links come from your domain.
Watch out forThe wrong time zone makes every booking show the wrong time, and a blank address can break email footers. Use a subdomain like links.yourdomain.com, not your main domain, so it doesn't clash with your website. This branded domain is only for links. It is separate from the page domain in Task 9 and the sending domain in Task 6.
02
Get to know your custom values
Custom values are the reusable pieces of your brand, your logo, brand colours, booking link and lead magnet details, that drop into your pages and emails automatically. Set one in a single place and it updates everywhere it appears. You don't need to fill them all in now. Just know where they live, because you'll set the ones you need as you work through the tasks below.
Steps
- Go to Settings, then Custom Values.
- Browse the folders to see what's there:Branding (your logo) · Brand Colours (your colour codes) · Meeting Links (your discovery call booking link) · Lead Magnet (title, tagline, three bullets, image, link and topic) · plus your testimonial link.
- To set one, click it, add your value, and Save. It updates everywhere that value is used.
- Leave the rest for now. You'll fill the ones you need in the relevant tasks below.
Done whenYou know where your custom values live and how to edit one.
Watch out forA custom value updates everywhere it appears at once. That saves you time, but it also means a typo shows up everywhere, so check before you save.
03
Connect your calendar and video conferencing
Steps
- Click Settings, then Calendars, and open the Connections tab.
- Click Add or Connect next to Google or Outlook.
- Sign in to your calendar account and click Allow to grant access.
- In the same area, connect your video conferencing (Zoom or Google Meet): click Connect, sign in, and click Allow.
- Confirm both your calendar and your video conferencing show as connected.
Done whenYour calendar and your video conferencing both show as connected.
Watch out forConnect the same calendar you use day to day, or bookings land in the wrong diary. And connect the video tool you actually run calls on, because your booking links are generated from it.
04
Set up your discovery call calendar
Steps
- Go to Calendars, then Calendar Settings, and select your discovery call calendar.
- Click Edit.
- In Availability, set your available days and times, your buffer between meetings, minimum scheduling notice, and how far ahead people can book.
- Set the meeting location to the video conferencing you connected in Task 3. This generates a unique meeting link for each booking automatically.
- Only if you want the same fixed link on every call, choose Custom and paste your link in instead.
- Update the booking page description with your own wording.
- Open Notifications and confirm which alerts go to you and that they use the right email address.
- Click Save.
Done whenYou can open the booking page, see your real availability, and a test booking sends the confirmation with a working video link in it.
Watch out forIf the location is set to Custom but the link field is empty, clients get a confirmation with no way to join. Match the location to your connected video tool unless you have a reason to use a fixed link.
05
Set up your phone and SMS
Steps
- Click Settings, then Phone Numbers.
- Click Add Number, choose your country, select a number, and confirm.Your usage wallet needs funds to buy a number and to send. See your usage guide if the balance is empty.
- Complete the messaging registration: enter your business details and submit. For the US and Canada this is A2P 10DLC and is required before any text will send. Requirements in other countries vary.
- Wait for approval. This can take a few days.
- Once approved, set your number as the default sending number.
- Send yourself a test SMS to confirm it delivers.
Done whenYour number is active, your registration is approved, and a test SMS arrives on your phone.
Watch out forTexts will not send until registration is approved, even after you've bought the number, so start this task early. Requirements differ by country, so check what applies to yours.
06

- Select your client intake form.
- Find the revenue dropdown field and edit its options: change the currency symbol and the bands, for example to £ for the UK.
- Read through the other questions and adjust any wording.

Done whenThe revenue question shows the right currency and bands for your clients.
Watch out forIf the currency stays in dollars, your clients may pick the wrong band or feel the form isn't for them.
09

- Click Save on each, and check the workflow is Published.
Done whenAll four emails are in your words with no [SWAP] placeholders left.
